I'm Ari Mahller, and I got into this business because of a Marriott hotel stay with three young kids.
Spread across three rooms, trying to coordinate bedtimes and breakfasts and everything in between, I realized there had to be a better way for families to travel. Short-term rentals solve that problem beautifully, a real home, with real space, in a neighborhood that gives families room to breathe and actually enjoy their vacation.
After 20 years as a business owner, I was ready for a change. And I kept seeing the same opportunity: homeowners with beautiful vacation properties sitting vacant for most of the year, and families looking for exactly those kinds of homes. The connection seemed obvious but only if someone was willing to manage the experience with genuine care on both sides.
That's why I built iTrip San Diego the way I did. Small on purpose. Local by design. I'm not trying to manage hundreds of properties from a corporate office somewhere. I'm focused on San Diego's coastal communities, La Jolla, Coronado, Del Mar, working with owners who want a partner, not a faceless platform.
